Tuna Sandwich

A good old tuna sandwich is a classic American dish. But have you ever tried it with pickles it makes a large difference in taste? When I was younger my mother loved to make them for us after school if your not that hungry but need something to snack on with your friends.

Ingredients: (6 Servings)

  • 6 oven bake rolls

  • a few salad leaves

  • 1 can of tuna in water

  • 1 small onion

  • 2-3 pickles

  • 3 tbsp mayo

  • pinch of salt and pepper

Let's start cooking:

  1. Start by finely mincing an onion and the pickles

  2. Drain the water from the tuna fish and place it into a bowl

  3. With a fork crush the tuna fish so that it starts to separate

  4. Mix in the minced onion and pickle

  5. Add the mayo and stir until everything gets a thick creamy texture

  6. In an oven bake, your roll as in the packaging instructions. Or if you have fresh ones that is even better

  7. Wash and rip the salad by hand so that it fits on the rolls

  8. Serve for lunch or preserve it in an airtight container for up to 2 days

Enjoy!
