Marinated cherry tomatos

Simple is key! In season cherry tomatoes are delicious and juicy. Either keep it simple or add some mozzarella or avocado. In Germany, we have "Brotzeit" which means bread time. You serve different cold platters with cold cuts and some fresh bread. So an easy and quick tomato salad can't miss out on that.

Ingredients: (2 Servings)

  • 250g cherry tomatoes

  • 5 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp white balsamic vinegar or lemon juice

  • pinch of salt

  • A very good pinch of pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • and full of fresh basil

Let's start cooking:

  1. Cut all tomatoes in half

  2. Place into a bowl and add the balsamic vinegar

  3. Toss until everything is fully coated

  4. Drizzle the olive oil on top and let it sit for 5 minutes

  5. Add the rest of the ingredients and let it sit for another 5 minutes while covered

  6. Do a taste test and adjust the seasoning to your preferenze

  7. Serve with some Rusticana baguette
