Would you like to cuddle into your covers and to enjoy a warm cup of cocoa whiles reading your favorite book or watching a movie? Here are three options for a comforting cup of hot chocolate. Please note that these recipes are fully adjustable to your milk preference.

You should try to enjoy a date night with yourself. Taking quality time for oneself is very important and a warm and comforting cup of cocoa will help you with that.

Basic hot chocolate (1 cup)

Ingredients:

  • 40g of dark chocolate (70% cacao content)

  • 100ml milk (plant-based milk is also possible)

  • 100 ml cream (plant-based cream is also possible)

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Let's start cooking:

  1. Start by shredding your chocolate either by cutting in up ur by using a grater

  2. In a small pot slowly start melting your chocolate under constant stirring

  3. As soon as it is melted slowly stir in your cream and milk bit by bit

  4. You only want your hot chocolate to simmer and not to boil or it will burn at the bottom

  5. Now stir in the sugars until they are fully dissolved and serve while hot

  6. I love serving it with either whipped cream or marsh mellows

Enjoy!
