Classic Bubble Tea

In summer it's one of my absolute favorite drinks. Of course, this can also be served warm, but I prefer it cold. Over the years so many variations of this drink have been created but let us first start with the basics.

This drink originally comes from Taiwan and is generally drunk with black milk tea or green milk tea.

Useful ingredient information:

Boba pearls:

You can buy them already prefinished so that you only have to boil them in water.

With this, it will only take 15 - 20 minutes to make bubble tea at home.

Here are the best-finished bubbles to buy on amazon. "Tapioka-pearls"

Brown sugar:

It will better connect with the boba pearls and will give this amazing gingerbread like taste that you won't get with regular white sugar.

Ingredients: (2 Servings)

Milk Tea:

  • 300ml water

  • 300ml soy or almond milk

  • 10g black tea leaves

Boba:

  • 20g boba pearls

  • 30g brown sugar

  • 4 tbsp water

Let's start cooking:

  1. Bring 300ml water in a pot to boil and add the tea leaves for 2 minutes

  2. Add the alternative milk and boil for another 2 minutes.

  3. Strain the tea leaves and set milk tea to the side

  4. (If you wanna add the extra sweetness you can a spoon of maple syrup or agave syrup)

  5. For the boba bring 300ml water to boil and add the bubbels and boil for 10 minutes

  6. Strain them and add them to the same pot again with water and sugar

  7. On high heat, you want to cook it under constant stirring until it turns into a syrup

  8. Prepare a glass which is heat resistant. Add the boba on the bottom, add 2 cubes of ice and pour the milk tea on top

  9. Pop in a straw or a spoon to eat the bubbles

Enjoy!
